Rent A Tech and e-websmart.com Collaborate on Web Development Projects
Rent A Tech provides technical services and consulting for homes, schools, non-profit organizations, and small business. The owners believed that adding web design to their range of services would be natural extension for their business.
"Like many small technology service companies, we like to look for opportunities to expand our business" said JoLynn Plato, President of Rent A Tech, LLC. However, after researching the market, the owners found that other companies were already offering services similar to what they could provide.
"Consumers in this area have many choices for web design, but to produce a quality site, it takes talented artists, programmers, writers, and marketing personnel that pay meticulous attention to design and usability," said CIO Scott Plato. Knowing this, Rent A Tech set out to find a company that would be willing to work with them to fill this void.
It was then that Scott recalled that his friend, Michelle Tjelmeland, had started her own Springfield-based web design company a number of years ago. He contacted her to learn more about her business, e-websmart.com, and to explore possibilities of working together.
"Michelle's company offered more than what we were looking for and is extremely successful in the market," said Scott. Michelle has received numerous awards for her achievements in business, including the Microsoft “Start Something Amazing” Award. Currently, she is one of the top 10 finalists for INC Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Year award.
With e-websmart’s proven record of accomplishment in the web marketing and development arena, and Michelle’s business philosophy and credibility, the owners of Rent A Tech knew this would be the perfect fit.
"When she said she would work with us we were extremely delighted. Not only is she capable of providing the solution we were looking for in this market, but her entrepreneurial skills make her an outstanding asset as well."
